The Yoga and Mental Health Workshops are designed for professionals seeking to integrate yoga based tools into their work with clients. Each course blends the wisdom of yoga with evidence-based mental health interventions, offering an experiential and accessible framework for healing that addresses body, mind, and spirit.

Our 250 hour Yoga for Mental Health Teacher Training will deepen your own personal practice, enrich your understanding of all 8 limbs of yoga and give you the skills to teach yoga to others. Learn how yoga can help with stress, anxiety, depression and other mental health issues and how it can reduce symptoms and promote well-being.

This foundational experiential training explores the intersection of yoga and mental health. This 30 hour workshop highlights how asana (movement), pranayama (breathwork), and meditation influence the nervous system, emotional regulation, and self-awareness. Through lecture, guided practice, and discussion, participants will gain a deeper personal understanding of how these practices restore balance, build resilience, and cultivate self-compassion.

This second experiential training delves into the art and science of designing yoga sequences to support mental and emotional wellbeing. Participants will deepen their understanding of how asana, pranayama, and meditation influence energy, mood, and psychological balance. The training explores sequencing approaches that cultivate resilience, restore vitality, and invite calm.

The final part of the series centers on integration, translating knowledge and experience into professional practice. This 8 hour workshop incorporates reflective journaling, guided visualization, and discussion. Participants will explore ethical, trauma-sensitive, and accessible ways to weave yoga-based tools into client care with integrity and compassion.

Explore how yoga and mental health principles intersect to reduce stress, restore balance, and promote resilience. Participants will learn to identify how stress manifests in the body and how integrated practices can support emotional and physiological regulation. Experiences include an integrated asana, breathwork, and meditation practice for stress relief and tools to support client regulation and self-care practices in professional settings.

This session invites therapists and helping professionals to step beyond the cognitive layers of healing and into the body’s innate intelligence. A blend of brief teaching and a 60-minute guided embodied practice, participants will explore how asana (movement), pranayama (breathwork), and meditation can deepen emotional regulation, re-pattern the nervous system, and transform how we support our clients’ healing.

Lynnea Therapy partners with April Waldrop, E-RYT 500, Yoga Therapist of Fearless Living Yoga, Jamie Kruse, LCSW of Torus Therapy, and Tricia Fiske, E-RYT 500, YAECP, Senior Faculty for Tantra Yoga Alchemy to provide workshops and trainings for yoga teachers, therapists, social workers, educators, and mental health professionals interested in understanding the interplay of Yoga and Mental Health and how to apply the tools of yoga to support mental health treatment.
Participants will learn how asana (movement), pranayama (breathwork), and meditation influence the nervous system, emotional regulation, energy, and mood.
We can help individuals process emotions that arise on the mat, recognize and challenge deeply ingrained belief systems. This integrated approach allows individuals to reach their full potential and access higher levels of consciousness that may not be possible without a combined effort.
